PRESENTATION OF THE ICEWINE

In a rich agenda of events, Donna Sommelier will present the International Icewine Festival, the book dedicated to Icewines in the world, and will propose to enjoy the San Sebastiano Vino del Ghiaccio 2006 and its absolute novelty: the Grappa of Icewine of Chiomonte made from the grapes of the Vino del Ghiaccio.

Thursday 29th March 2007, at 14,30 the Spazio Incontri of the Piedmont Region will host Donna Sommelier Europa and it’s President Maria Luisa Alberico, who will illustrate the new original project of the Association: the “INTERNATIONAL ICEWINES FESTIVAL”.
Donna Sommelier Europa is honoured to host the following  prestigious guests: the Regional Agriculture Authority Mino Taricco, the President of UNCEM (Unione Nazionale Comunità Montane), Lido Riba , the President of the Comunità Montana Alta Valle di Susa, Mauro Carena, and the Mayor of Chiomonte, Renzo Pinard.
The director of the Association will also present the book “Icewines e Eisweine dal mondo-l’esperienza di Chiomonte” that highlights the pride of a wholly feminine project and the original experience of the second Icewine harvest that made headway especially thanks to the staff of the oenologist Dott. Gianluca Cordero and the ampelografic advises of Dott. Luca Cavallo of the Viticulture Section of the Province of Turin. 
At the end of the presentation, we will enjoy the San Sebastiano Vino del Ghiaccio 2006, based on the flavour essence of stone fruits, and the Grappa of Chiomonte produced from the grapes of the Vino del Ghiaccio (Becuet, Chatus, Neretta Cuneese…) of the two Vineyards that participated to the harvest this year: the Cantina Clarea and the Casa Ronsil. The distillation has been done in the Distilleria Sibona of Piobesi d’Alba under the responsibility of Dott. Sergio Corrado, to emphasize the importance of a territory that always dedicated an important place to wines and fruits of the mountain.
